4th Day
Wednesday, 9th August 2017 was my fourth day in Thailand as
exchange student teacher. All students teacher had divided into 2 groups
activty; English major and Pre-school went to Seminar together with Ajarn Suwan,
and Maths, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry (Maths-Science major) went to
Science week. I joined the Science week because my major is Maths.
Before we went to the Science week, Ajarn Apichart
introduced 3 people 4th years students from general science major. They were
Dear, Nan and Cin. We also introduced ourselves to them. So we went to the
science week together with Ajarn Apichart. The Science week located near the
market place, they were so many stands for students showing their creation also
sell their handmade creation such as jellysoap, honey soap, and something like
candy but it only for to be seen, not for being eaten. I also tried some foods
that the students made, like tempe and kimchi from Biology stands. The taste
was quite different from Indonesia. At least they could made tempe haha
After we watched the Science Expo, we went to watched some
performances from students who had been participated on Science at the second
floor. That was DIY Science Ideas, the participants showed their Do-It-Yourself
Science Ideas with some cute clothes also danced and then explained how the
science was working on their ideas to the audiences. I was impressed that lower
secondary students could made the ideas like that.
Around 11 PM.. Dear, Nan, and Cin took us to the canteen and
ordered some somtam, sticky rice and chicken for our lunch. That was my first
time to eat somtam, I think it was the same with Rujak in Indonesia, but somtam
has sour and spicy taste, and I like it (please, just dont too sour), arroy!
They told us that they would take us in the evening to the temple near from the
PNRU, so we could go there just by walk.
And finally at 1 PM we had our orientation of Pre-Service
Student teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia
Batch 4 at Building 24, 3rd Floor, Conference Room, College of Teacher Education
in PNRU.
The schedule on orientation was:
-
Report by Dr. Direk Pornsima (Dean of College of
Teacher Education),
-
Welcome remarks by Associate Professor Kallaya
Saengruang (Vice President of PNRU),
-
Introduction of PNRU and CTE by Dr. Sasithorn
Sopharat, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of CTE,
-
Inroduction of school adminisrators, mentors and
supervisors, overview of project management and accomodation of the SEA
students by Dr. Wilaichitra Nilsawaddi as the Project coordinator,
-
Self-Introduction of all students SEA Teacher
-
I also met my Supervisors, Ajarn Nareunat and
Mr. Preecha.
-
And ended group discussion on pre-service
training (SEA students met with School administrators, mentors, and
supervisors)
There was a problem, because my school has been changed to
Princess Chulabhorn’s College Pathumthani, I checked on Maps and it was so far
from Bangkok, it was located in Pathumthani with around 45 kilometers far away
from PNRU. Ajarn Sasithorn told me that I had to move to the school’s dormitory
with 3 of my friends who was being placed in Chulabhorn too. So we would stay
in school’s dormitory from Monday to Friday because on weekend we had another
schedule or field trip in PNRU. I don’t want to miss the field trip! Haha. I
hope it would be fine!
In the evening, as I said before that Dear, Nan, and Cin
would take us to the temple, and we met and waiting to each other in front of
Sevel to walk together. We enjoyed feeding fishes and birds there, it was so
fun and we also had took photos together.
